Estos cien títulos, organizados como cuenta regresiva, incluyen filmes que van del drama, el terror y la comedia hasta documentales como The Act of Killing o animaciones como Anomalisa. El último lugar lo ocupa el reciente estreno de Tarantino Once Upon a Time in Hollywood y en los más altos figuran títulos como el del director chino Wong Kar-wai, In the Mood for Love; la adaptación del director británico Jonathan Glazer, Under the Skin (2013); el filme cuyo rodaje duró más de una década, Boyhood (2014); el drama biográfico 12 Years a Slave (2013) y, en el primer lugar, la cinta de Paul Thomas Anderson There Will Be Blood (2007).
