Shakira y JLo, nominadas a mejor presentación musical para televisión del 2020

Desde 2009 se entregan en Estados Unidos los Premios Dorian que reconocen lo mejor en cine y televisión norteamericana. Estos premios tienen un gran impacto en la comunidad LGBTQ+ porque son otorgados por la sociedad de críticos de entretemiento gay y lésbico, además de contar con categorías diversas como Mejor Programa de Televisión LGBTQ, entre otras. La asociación está integrada por más de 260 miembros, en su mayoria periodistas que regularmente hacen reseñas de películas y series de televisión para medios impresos, programas de opinión o transmisiones en redes de internet de los Estado Unidos, Australia y el Reino Unido.

El dos de febrero de 2020 se emitió por FOX la final del campeonato de la Liga Nacional de Futbol Americano conocida en la cultura pop como el SuperBowl. Para el show de este año seleccionaron, por primera vez, a dos mujeres para protagonizar el espectáculo de medio tiempo: Shakira y Jennifer López. El evento de 14 minutos contó con tres segmentos y una corta colaboración entre las dos estrellas pop.

El show musical fue nominado en la categoría Mejor Presentación Musical Para Televisión del 2020 donde compite con la apertura de los Oscar de Janelle Monae y Billie Porter, la interpretación de Cynthia Erivo en los Academy Awards y el clip Music Everywhere de Jake Gyllenhaal para Netflix.
