Dolly Parton reunió a varias leyendas del rock para su disco 'Rockstar'

Tras su incorporación al Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll el año pasado , Dolly Parton anunció su intención de grabar un álbum de rock. “Si voy a estar en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll, tendré que ganármelo” , dijo en ese momento.

Para cumplir esa promesa, Parton reclutó a algunos de los nombres más importantes de la música para la grabación de una mezcla de canciones originales y versiones de rock and roll. El resultado final titulado Rockstar, llegará el 17 de noviembre.

En el disco hay varias apariciones muy llamativas: hay una reunión de The Beatles, Steve Perry canta una canción de Journey, Lizzo canta en Stairway To Heaven, entre otras.

Sting acompaña a Parton en Every Breath You Take de The Police, P!NK y Brandi Carlile participan en una interpretación de (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction de The Rolling Stones, Miley Cyrus se une a su madrina. en Wrecking Ball , y Debbie Harry aparece en Heart Of Glass .

También hay nueve canciones originales, incluida una colaboración con Stevie Nicks llamada What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You , I Dreamed About Elvis con Ronnie McDowell y la canción principal asistida por Richie Sambora. World on Fire , el sencillo principal, llegará el 11 de mayo.

Rockstar cierra con dos colaboraciones: los miembros sobrevivientes de The Beatles, Paul McCartney y Ringo Starr, junto con Peter Frampton y Mick Fleetwood, se unen a Parton para una versión de Let It Be . Y hay una versión de Free Bird con los miembros de Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gary Rossington (quien falleció en marzo) y Artimus Pyle, junto con la voz póstuma de Ronnie Van Zandt.
