Los 100 mejores filmes dirigidos por mujeres, según Indiewire

Desde Alice Guy-Blaché, pasando por Dorothy Arzner, Dorothy Davenport y Tressie Souders las mujeres han sido determinantes en la historia del cine. No obstante, en los últimos años el número de mujeres participando en la dirección de filmes ha disminuido.

Según cita IndieWire, el último informe del Centro para el Estudio de la Mujer en la Televisión y el Cine de la Universidad Estatal de San Diego reveló que el porcentaje de mujeres que trabajan como directoras en las 250 películas más taquilleras se redujo del 11% en 2017 al 8% en 2018. Y los porcentajes de mujeres que dirigen películas en las 100 mejores películas también disminuyó. Además, a pesar de las aclamadas películas lanzadas en 2018 por mujeres como Debra Granik, Chloe Zhao, Marielle Heller, Tamara Jenkins, Lucrecia Martel y más, las mujeres fueron nuevamente excluidas por completo de las nominadas a Mejor Director en los Premios de la Academia.

Por eso, la gente del portal IndieWire compiló 200 títulos y votó las 100 mejores películas dirigidas por mujeres. Esta es la lista en orden.
